A Day In The Life Of An Alcoholic/Addict
It’s light so it must be day time I can see it through my eyelids, I don’t want to open my eyes yet because the light hurts them. I can’t remember what day it is my head is throbbing mouth tastes foul I need a sugary drink before I do anything.
What happened last night? No recollection, bad sign! Ok, no alcohol today, give my body a break. I think I’ll go back to sleep, two trammadol may help the head & awful stomach ache.
Getting Addicted:The Prescription Drug Nightmare

Recently, with so many powerful, designer painkillers, sedatives, and stimulants being introduced to the market, there has been a marked increase in the number of people becoming addicted to prescription drugs. Though these drugs may actually be helpful and work perfectly fine when used appropriately, many are highly addictive and have become a nightmare for those who have both knowingly and unknowingly fallen into the prescription drug trap.
The Power of Prayer in Addiction
While prayer is not something that some people believe in, it is a powerful way to overcome and deal with addiction. Most people believe in some type of higher power, whether they believe in God or not. This higher power is generally considered to be “with us” all the time. This friendship and relationship can be a huge boost to our daily fights and struggles with addiction if we harness the power behind it.
Does Alcohol Addiction Ever Truly Go Away?
When someone is fighting alcohol addiction, they are always only a drink away from being back in the grip of alcoholism. The nature of addiction is such that it always lingers in the back of your mind waiting for the chance to crawl back into your life. The Correlation Between Anxiety Disorder and Alcohol
Anxiety disorder is one of the most complicated health problems known to doctors. The reason for this is because anxiety disorder is not a specific thing to every person. Anxiety disorder can be one set of symptoms in one person while completely different in another. When you add alcohol into the mix as is so often the case with anxiety disorders, the volatility and danger of anxiety disorder grows exponentially.
Addiction Does Not Discriminate
Farewell Michael….you will be missed. I hope that your passing will help others see that addiction plays for keeps and takes no prisoners. It’s cunning, baffling and powerful and no amount of fame and fortune can keep it from from infecting anyone it comes across. It’s never to late to get help, just ask and someone will extend the hand.
Addiction Recovery Plan
Finding an addiction recovery plan when seeking addiction recovery can be very difficult. After living with difficult addiction for so long many people are at a loss of what real life is like. Many have lived a life where they did everything they could to survive on drugs or alcohol and now they have to live off a regular salary and constant gainful employment.
Once you have gone through withdrawal, one of the first things that you should do is create an addiction recovery plan. This plan should outline what you will do to stay away from your addiction, how you will pay your bills every month, where you will live and what you are striving for as an end result.
